It is a pleasure and an honor for us to announce the “IX World Congress on South American Camelids 2026” that will take place at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in the city of Arequipa, on May 12, 13 and 14, 2026.

This congress is the most important academic-scientific event at a global level in the field of South American camelids, with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge and interaction between researchers, breeders, businessmen and representatives of the public and private sectors.

In this academic event there will be keynote conferences, exhibition of scientific works and posters, round tables and specialized exhibitions. These activities seek to directly strengthen the value chain of South American camelids, promoting innovation and sustainability in their production systems.
